Notes

  • This show can be found on the vinyl bootlegs “Georgia Peaches – Ripe!”, as well as an edited version on “So Much Younger Then”. The double CD bootleg “Tyrone’s Athens 1981″ also features the show, minus Rave On and White Tornado. ‘Burning Down’ comes after ‘Action’ on these bootlegs, however a new recording has been unearthed where Burning Down appears to have been played after Rave On instead. There is some disagreement but many feel that Burning Down should be second in the setlist, and not after Action. This is the only recorded live performance of Wait, a song that also appears on the bootleg “Life’s Rich Pageant and More.

    There is some investigation going on regarding the actual date of this recording. There is speculation that this show took place later in 1981 possibly March.

    There is some disagreement that this show actually took place on April 10, 1981 rather than January 10, 1981 as the bootleg suggests.

    Due to its early period in REM history and thorough setlist, this is a must have show in many accounts.
