Notes
- Not the best quality show but a fun show in particular because Stipe is in a weird mood. Halfway through the set, Stipe introduces the band in odd fashion saying Peter Buck on Broccoli, to which Bill answers, Michael Stipe on Acid. (Throughout the Fables Tour, on through the Work Tour Stipe was prone to be a talker on stage often telling stories and parables between songs and this show was no exception. If you enjoy the historical aspect of REM I would attempt to try to find as many of these shows as possible).

Epic. The Minutemen opened, completely confusing most of the crowd. Watt broke a string and proceeded to restring his bass: mid-song. They were very loud, and killed. I think REM picked up on that, and absolutely tore the place apart. THe Fables stuff was good, but the Reckoning material was on fire. They played a bunch of encores, and seemed very laid back and in good spirits. The sound was first-rate, as it almost always was at the Mosque, just about the best place to see live music outside of a small club. I’d seen them before, and I saw them a few times in next couple years, but nothing approached this show.
