The opening song at the Murat Theatre show in Indy was “Around the Sun.” It’s listed on the Shows page as Finest Worksong.

  2. Rene Says:

Thanks Andrew! I added “Around the Sun” to the setlist.

    Hiya

I’m trying to amend some info on 2004-10-20, but i get an error when I hit update.

Also get this problem with seemingly random other dates, such as 2004-10-23.

  4. Mr Abstract Says:

I am also trying to get a definitive answer on what Dave Thomas’s rig was, as the Sony TCD-6M does not exist. There’s a TC-D5M or WM-D6C.

I think some tapers used the Sony WM-D3 as well.

The WM models where walkman sized, and the TC is much larger, and was intended as a portable solution for pro sound recordists.

Once I know for certain, I will update all the Dave Thomas recordings.

Mark, I tested it on my own and it is working fine. Do you know what kind of update you are doing? I updated the records to test, fyi.

    Eric

  6. Rene Says:

He has the apostroph problem ;) Back to backend!

  7. Mr Abstract Says:

It was a problem with apostrophes in both examples.

    2005-10-05 Minneapolis (VFC Show)

You omitted Neil Young as a listed guest for this show. While he did not play a set of his own that night, he did play on Country Feedback and a few of Springstreen’s songs. He also led the whole group (Springsteen, REM, Fogerty, Bright Eyes) in a rendition of “Keep on Rocking in the Free World.

The concert on 10/8/84 is listed as Hill Auditorium, Ann Arbor. The actual location was Michigan Theatre in Ann Arbor. I know this because I was there and have seen this mistake many times over the years.
    Thanks.

Hi there, great site, been trolling it all week since Accelerate came out… Been going down REM memory lane…

One thing to check… You have a show 1982-04-14 listed as Hartford, CT… That should be New Haven, CT — that’s where’s Toad’s Place is. Not sure if you have other Toad’s shows in here, those should be updated too…

Thanks and keep up the great work! You reminded me of something I’d forgotten, they played the cheesy “Midnight Blue” at a show I saw in Philadelphia in ‘87 at the Spectrum…

The 4-14-82 show listed as being from “Toad’s Place” in Hartford, CT is slightly incorrect. Toad’s Place is in New Haven, CT. Likely the case for 10-6-82 as well, but I didn’t remember that one so I can’t say for sure…

Noticed a needed tweak…1989-06-16 was indeed Bologna, Italy but 1989-06-17 was in Perugia, not Bologna as is listed. They were two of the greatest nights of my life btw.
