This concert was filmed for Tourfilm, and some songs from this show appear on that video Benefit show for L.E.A.F., which was technically not part of the Green tour. Get Up #2 and Wild Thing were performed by "Micro and The Melons", which included 3 guitarists (one of which is Microwave), a bassist, and a drummer. Bill plays keyboards and does back up vocals. Mike and Peter do back up as well while Michael sings lead.
As previously reported from other sources the song "After Hours" was not played at this show. Both the bootleg video and recording seem to prove this to be true.
This show can be found on the bootleg "There is a Kind of Murmur In the Air". There is a rumor going around that this show is soundboard quality. This is one of the only CDR Bootlegs in existence to gather a lot of attention due to the historical nature of this show. In fact, this boot which originated around 1999 is just a lower generation copy of the same sourced show that was available previously. Please note if you are going to trade for this, ask if the source of this show is that same bootleg. The generation makes all the difference in this case as time has taken its toll on the copy that was circulated before this. This is by many accounts an essential recording and a must have show.
Although I do not know if this is completely factual, I believe the source of this show was via Todd Ploharski who works at a record store in Athens next to the 40 Watt called Low Yo Yo. If you ever go to Athens and visit, check this store out and if necessary spend your money here rather than at Wuxtury which tends to overprice their REM related material. Todd should have a copy of this show and if he doesn’t you can possibly email or call him about it before you arrive to make sure.
There is a amateur video of this show in existence andfor an amateur video its rating is fair. There is proof that this show was recorded for Tourfilm and a Pro-Shot video does exist although largely unavailable to the trading circuit. There are those in the REM Community that have seen it and have called it one of the most amazing things they have ever seen and hope for a future release down the road.
